Questions delivered, dance floor reprise Your conversation is everything I need We move together like we’re unseen Rhythm, your movement, are taking over me We all know that you won’t tell It’s a game of wear it well A simple move, break the spell It’s a game of wear it well We all know Night lasts forever, drink after drink She pulls my head close, knows every thought I think Her breath on my face, body pressed in tight We know the answer won’t be found tonight We all know you won’t tell It’s a game of wear it well A simple move, break the spell It’s a game of wear it well

We ride golden chariots Lights streak the paths that carry us Neons burning hot tonight Street lamps hum your lullaby You can't live the present tense With baggage packed and unpaid rent. When the road comes up dry The street lamps hum their lullabies Even though Missed your mark Passing shots Still lights the dark

They say wine is the truth I guess that makes me an honest man Never needed an excuse I’ll hit the bottom when I land Blood rushes in, your skin stained so crimson red (That skin is crimson red, thoughts weighing down my head) And I can't come clean with my heart on my sleeve (Can't wash it away, these thoughts are here to stay) When you've washed up on shore, you think its the end (Sun's beating down on me, think for a minute that I'm free) Waves pull you back again, sink or swim (Waves washing overhead, weary, wasted, we're through she said) I remember '92 Good days never came as planned Watched the old man come unglued Hitting the bottom as he lands Sometimes they say it’s no use You plot your course and push for land But your punctured hull lets the water through Drifting under to the sand I remember.

about

Recorded in the fall of 2009 to the best of our abilities at the lovely FaderMaster Studios in Vancouver BC, with the wizardry and wisdom of the lovelier Paul Boechler, this is Cairo's first batch of songs.

The audio recording of our sophomore slump will commence late June 2010, for a prospective catch-and-release date of late summer.
